Tina Maurizi RN
Tina Maurizi grew up in Sedalia Missouri, she is the daughter of Clyde and Linda Roark who own and operate Roark Group Care Homes in the Sedalia area for over 57 years. Tina knew early she wanted to help people and families, so after high school she went into nursing. She obtained her Licensed Practical Nursing Certification then finished as a Registered Nurse from the University of Missouri in Columbia. She followed her heart and opened Maurizi Homes for individuals who have physical and intellectual disabilities 26 years ago. She also is the owner of Countryside Nursery School for preschool aged children. She is an avid lover of Christmas and you can see her displays on the Christmas lights tour in Columbia during the Christmas season. She currently lives in Columbia with her husband Captain Michael Maurizi MD; she has 4 daughters, Christina, Annamaria, Claire and Teresa.
Dr. Maurizi graduated ‘cum laude’ from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine in 1994 and completed a residency in General Psychiatric Medicine at the same institution in 1999. Since then, Dr. Maurizi has practiced psychiatry in a wide variety of clinical settings with a diversity of patients spanning all age groups thru out mid-Missouri. He has been a contract consulting psychiatrist for the state Dept. of Mental Health in Marshall, MO since 2011. Dr. Maurizi has over 22 years’ experience in providing care for individuals with intellectual disabilities and special needs. This is not only within the realm of his clinical practice but also, along with his wife Tina they own and operate 18 Independent Supported Living (ISL) Homes providing services for almost 40 individuals with medical and/ or mental health needs within Central Missouri. Dr. Maurizi is also a Navy Reserve Physician. He serves as a Commander with The Fleet Marine Forces (Reserves) and is the Division Psychiatrist for the 4th Marine Division as well as the Subject Matter Expert for Marine Forces Reserves regarding issues involving Traumatic Brain Injury and Behavioral Health. He is a veteran of both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Dr. Maurizi lives in Columbia, MO with his wife and 4 daughters.
Jun has been working for Maurizi over 8 years. However, her years of valuable experience in management at various companies have prepared her well. Jun has gained much knowledge and practice from all the companies that she has served. Additionally, Jun has shown creativity and innovation in resolving problems and in commitment to build consensus. Ma has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and good ability to transform thoughts into words. Sharp acumen and experience have made Jun versatile and able to cultivate good business relationships within each organization. Jun has a strong learning curve that helps her think outside the box. She is a team player and eager to learn new concepts for her professional as well as personal enhancement. She holds a bachelor of Accounting from Columbia College. While in college, Jun made the Dean’s list and she received many academic awards as well. Also, Jun has been honored from Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society and Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society.
Christina "Chrissy" Maurizi is the third generation in her family to provide care to individuals who have special needs. From 2004 until 2016 she worked as a Direct Support Professional for Maurizi Homes. In 2013 she graduated from Columbia College, where she studied Philosophy and Political Science, after-which she opened La Di Di Children's Boutique; a retail store in the Village of Cherry Hill. She sold her business in 2016 and moved to St Charles, MO where she consulted for Inside the Circle helping other business owners succeed in their business ventures. She now resides in Columbia Missouri, she has 3 children who she is very proud of.... Brady who just graduated from MWI and her two daughters Alyssa & Charlie-Lane who both cheer competitively for Eagle Elite. She is a now a Program Manager for Maurizi Homes.
Analin Williams attend and graduated High School in Northern Bataan Institute, she graduated college at Systems Plus Computer College in the Philippines where she finished her associate degree in Computer Secretarial, and practice writing stenography. Then at the age of 19 years old Analin got her license for Real estate in the Philippines. Despite of her busy schedule she did not stop exploring and worked in Computer Integration plus as an encoder for 3 years where she enjoyed both jobs. Then at her mid 20’s worked at the hotel and restaurant as a book keeper, short after she was hired got promoted as an assistant manager. Analin ran her own KTV bar in the Philippines. In 2006 Analin migrated in the United States with her husband and worked for MAURIZI ISL HOMES full time as a houseparent (direct support professional) who took care 3 individuals who has intellectual disabilities for almost 4years. Since then, she found her passion working with individuals who have intellectual disabilities. In 2010 she worked as a CIST for MAURIZI ISL HOMES assisting direct support professional to fulfill their duties and responsibilities, and to ensure the 37 individuals they supported to have a meaningful day and a quality of life. She is now working for MAURIZI ISL HOMES as a Program Manager.
Kallie LaBella LPN
Kallie LaBella joined our team in 2010 as a Direct Support Professional at just 19 years old. Kallie has stayed with us in some fashion, since that time and has served many roles within the agency. In 2012, Kallie took a part-time role as a houseparent, as she attended nursing school. The following year, Kallie graduated nursing school and has held the title of ‘LPN’ since that time. Kallie now serves as an on-call nurse for the agency, assisting with medical needs and has recently taken some duties assisting with our Human Resources department. Kallie has experience working in clinical mental health, pediatrics and internal medicine. She has a proficiency in writing and documentation and is a great resource with the ins and the outs of the supported living world. We are so glad to have her as part of our team!
Samantha Espinales LPN
Samantha Espinales graduated from State Fair Community College for Practical Nursing in 2000 and has also obtained an associate degree in general studies from Columbia College in 2009. She is currently working on her bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management from Stephens College. Samantha has been employed with Maurizi ISL Homes for 14 years providing support and care for individuals with intellectual disabilities and special needs. Samantha lives in Columbia, MO with her husband and son.
